Point + Shoot : The Good Wife

After playing the mean wife so convincingly on Saturday
(and sharing my marital faux pas with the whole wide world)
I thought I'd better redeem myself on Sunday.

I thought I should show Hubby that I can actually be there
when he needs some support, encouragement or a push.
(Pun intended.)

Magoo and I ventured down to the coastal finish of a 17km paddling event
that Hubby was racing in.
I couldn't run the risk of having him locking himself in a bathroom
so far from home, really, could I?

It was quite the stretch -
heading down to my old stomping ground of Cottesloe Beach.
The ugliness of it all was just a cross I had to bear.
From the sky, to the sand, to the bronzed bodies
- my eyes were assaulted at every turn.
But I soldiered on.
'Cause I'm a good wife like that.
I didn't laugh (out loud) once.
Not even when Magoo had a massive meltdown at Hubby post-race in front of his mates because he "neeeeeded some food wif butter on it, Daddy."
Butter wouldn't melt.
Well, not some food with butter on it, anyway!

Hope you had a beautiful weekend.
Were you a martyr too?

I'm double dipping in linkys today.

Oh that looks terrible! The things we wives do. Perhaps I need to convince my hubby some sort of beach related sport (other than fishing) would be a good idea!
Visiting from Wonderful Weekends :)

I can so relate to all that. Wow Married life. The high's and lows.

Perth looks lovely this time of year. I haven't been to Cottesloe since the Americas cup. Loved it then and love it now. Popping in from Life, Love and Hiccups.

I love Perth beaches, and the downwind paddles too;) It is just the large sea creatures that seem to dwell in the area that scare me...have a lovely weekx

Yes, it looks terrible out there, in the sunshine, away from the house. Keep in mind it was raining in Tassie, and a wee bit miserable. Your sunny photos have warmed me slightly.

What a cross to bare indeed!! Awesome pics! Although I was DYING with the flu on the weekend (still am, sob sob), we went and bought our very first live Christmas tree. It was beautiful :-)

Oh dear, what a horrible time you had! I hope you don't have to do that again, but i'm sure you will secretly want to!

Beaches for me are the epitome of pure torture. I burn to a crisp in the sun, I really don't like sand - especially the walking on it part, and I get sea sick in and on the water! But I do appreciate the view from a airconditioned car or a resturant table with a lemon lime and bitters in hand!

Aaaaah butter....what were we talking about again?

I was TOTALLY selfless and dropped the husband at the football on Friday, a Poker game the next night and let him escape the girls ballet concert on Sunday.

Don't worry - it's all going in the 'bank'. And BTW - husbands are harder to entertain on weekends than toddlers. I'm happy for someone else to baby sit him, lol.

what a hideous day you must have had, possum! Mine was splendid -- buried up to the eyeballs in white paint for 10 hours straight. Yep, an absolute corker. xx

What beautiful pics Shar. You did real good making up for your little incident with the bathroom ;o) I'm sure hubby had forgiven you anyway though xo
