52 Week Project : Wk 1

The 52 Week Project
I resisted for a while.
I didn't wanna do the self portrait part.
But the self portrait part is the whole premise of the project, you see.

Thanks for leading by example, Kate.
(If it's feeling a little 'single white female' here - you're not imagining it.
Maybe I've got a blog crush!!)

Anyway, The 52 week project is a link from the gorgeous My Mummy Daze and involves throwing all that nasty, naggy self talk out the window and posting a self portrait every week for a year.
Agggh - 52 shots of moi.
Apologies x 52 in advance.

So, here's week 1's pathetic offering.

Cheating? Much?

That's me (no?!) and my trusy little Canon friend.
Read my lips - I'm saying "it's you and me x 52, bud."

Shar :-)

It really is hard to be in front of the camera though, especially if you are usually the one behind it. I get sad and annoyed at not being in photos because I want it known that I was there too, but then I see myself in photos and urgh! Yuk!

So, yay to you for joining in! It will get easier, and be fun, promise! :)

YAY! Gorgeous shot! So excited you're in...

I'm petrified by the 'self' part too...and already planning how to make next week's shot as glamorous as possible so I don't look so... craggy. I don't want my kids to look back and say "Oh Mum, why'd you put that one on the net? Did you really look like that?"

Ahh, you look cheeky and gorgeous Shar. I have also been debating whether to join in with this one. I do love the pics from this project on My Mummy Daze. I just have to get my head around having a pic of myself on my blog every week! xo

Good on you. I am a strong believer of embracing the camera, I still have trouble with it, but do it whole heartedly knowing the importance of family and friends being able to see through photos that you were a part of their lives. Good on you for stepping outside your comfort zone.
