Point + Shoot : Party Central

Hey, just like the Venga Boys - we. like. to. party.
Always have.

Whilst pulling all-nighters and kicking up our heels were once the icing on our cake of life,
now Hubby and I are more likely to be literally enjoying the icing on the cake instead.

How talented are my friends???
Talent by association?

We've certainly partied 'hard' this weekend
- and have also been kicking back on the couch by 8pm each night!!

The times, they change.
The hangovers, they hurt.
The kids, they don't care.

The inappropriate adults, they don't grow up... :-)

We've celebrated at three birthday parties in the last couple of days
- each one filled with great friends, tons of fun - and of course, treats galore.

A small part of me craves a weekend of no plans and family spontaneity
(Easter - you may just be exactly what the Mummy ordered!)
but all the other parts of me love an excuse to celebrate our fabulous 'village',
mark milestones, run with a theme, socialise, watch my boy have himself a ball
and live life to it's fullest (until about 8pm, that is!)

Amongst the celebrations of the last couple of days,
my thoughts are constantly returning to the unfortunate fragility of life
and this renewed need I have to savour every moment,
soak up all the 'good stuff' I can and make damn sure that those I love know they're loved.

I hope your weekend was one to treasure.

Ah, I love those party-hardy weekends... with an early to bed clause throw in. I too enjoy the children's parties immensely, but like to have some down time once in a while also. Easter is a fantastic time to enjoy some quiet time... though inevitably we always have something on or someone to catch up with, not complaining though.
Gorgeous pics... love the 'naughty' inflatable animals, what is it with adults and their preoccupation with making objects do rude things!?
You're looking lovely Shar, glowing even xo

Is it wrong to love the photo of the giraffes so much?

I must say I'm looking forward to slowing down over Easter, hope you get some time to do the same. x

Looks like a bit of a whizz bang weekend! We seem to be busy busy and then super quite. Funny how that works!

Your Easter break sounds like it will be filled with lots of spontaneity.x

Oh no wonder you related to my post today so much Hun. Geez you must be exhausted. Three parties in one weekend, that is HUGE. I too though had a good giggle with the Giraffes, that certainly appealed to my sick sense of humor.
That poor mans family in the news article, that is truly such a tragedy.
I hope Easter sees you resting up a little Hun, after all you are busy growing a human too :) xxx
