Grateful For Intuition

This week I'm grateful that intuition has nudged me quietly
and suggested I keep my big mouth firmly shut.
Less chance of letting a foot slip in that way, you see.

Wise advice when there is a bigger picture at play and
I'm just one little piece of the puzzle.
(How many idioms can one idiomt fit into a single sentence??)

I'm struggling with an issue, struggling to 'go gently' as beautiful Jane terms it
- but I'm definitely treading a little less elephant stampy-trudgey than I normally would.

I've stuck to unfinished drafts and resisted that 'send' function.
I've said less than I've wanted to.
I've edited and shushed the feisty voices.
I've thought and thought and thought and thought some more before blustering on my way.

I may just spontaneously combust under the pressure of all this self control though!!
(Especially without a glass of something sweet and fermented to take the edge off!!)

Meanwhile. this has been my evening...
Not much to struggle with there, is there?

Linking with Maxabella's 52 Weeks of Grateful

Happy weekending.

Shar :-)

I'm UNABLE to not hit publish :)

It could very much so become my undoing :)

Don't change :) xx

at least you know your gut instinct is telling you this is the right thing to do, this time! Just make sure it's not always the case.

Hope the thing that is making you need to bite your tongue is sorted soon. Hard to hold that back inside. xx

Oh Sweetheart. All power to you. It's the harder road to take but ultimately worth it, don't you think? Thanks for the sweet mention. J x

Good on you. It's hard to do in some circumstances. Your restraint is brilliant. Xx

Yay for you
I struggle with this a lot...I like to be heard, even when I shouldn't be heard.

You're a kind, funny, intelligent and caring soul Shar. I know what you mean about restraint though, sometimes the urge to vocalise our opinions does become quite difficult to smother. Hope your particular situation works out for the best though xo
