52 Week Project : Wk 28

Yep - I got my three year old to snap a pic of me standing in the city centre.
He wasn't phased.
I didn't care.
But that's the beauty of the city - no-one or nothing is 'weird' or out of place.

Yesterday, Magoo was given a choice of heading to the zoo, the animal farm or the city.
The boy chose the city.
'Cause the boy knows that 'the city' and 'the train' are a package deal.

I love the city.
I rarely visit these days, so each time something new surprises me.
Never the people -  but new stores, arcades or massive holes in the ground.
(Oh, like that whole new underground rail system a few months back! )

I worked in the city for many years through high school and university.
That job (in a sports store) was just brilliant.
I have so many hilarious and fond memories
- not just of the sneakers, but the crew I got to work with.
Good times JJ, good times.

Magoo didn't seem quite so nostalgic about seeing my old (old, old, old) workplace,
but he did enjoying having a wander - and of course, a babycino.

Are you a city dweller?
And has blogging made you shameless?

Gorgeous smiles, as always Shar!

Magoo is just too cute!

I love venturing into Sydney from time to time. Although I think Perth would be much fresher and less cranky and busy than our city.

It's always good to come home though.

Haha, this post made me laugh Shar. Many of my friends call me JJ, being my initials and I had a group of them who used to say "good times" constantly back in the day. Hehe, good times!
Love the pic, Magoo has a real knack for taking a good shot, you might be able to market that skill before too long. The city is awesome, we enjoy an adventure into ours also. It's not often, but it's special when we do xo

Nice photo Magoo!!
I love a good visit to the city when we head to Sydney. My girls and hubby though get a bit overwhelmed, they like the ferry ride in though.

I've only ever lived in the city and can't imagine not having everything at my fingertips. ALTHOUGH....we have just signed on a new place in HK which is more 'burbs that bustling. It's still only 10 minutes from town from a LOT quieter and a lot more chilled. Can't wait! There's serious talent in that 3 year old's eye. Professional photographer on your hands perhaps??? xx

I haven't been into the city for months, and I've never taken Max in for the day. It's a great idea though, he would really love it :)

I love going in to the city these days.

I worked in the city for years and took it for granted - the good coffee, access to shops, access to other working friends.

Now I work out of the city it's a real treat to head in there. There's always something new.

Like you I used to work in the city and it just became the norm, now I get to view it with the enthusiasm the kids have and once again I'm enthralled with the enormity of everything in the city. We don't go much, but when we do it is exciting again. Then again everything is way more exciting when you view it like a kid does.
Blogging has made me completely shameless as far as taking photo opps. I think you may have a little photo genius on your hands there lovely, Magoo takes a fab shot, but it helps he has such a fabulous subject. Xxx

Haha, Chatterbox is also obsessed with transport, especially trains.

I haven't been into Melbourne since I finished work six weeks ago. I don't miss it at all! I should take the boys in for a look though.

Gosh, Magoo is so cute, he's so like you.
