52 Week Project : Wk 43

Exhibit A :
'Gestational Drowned Rat Syndrome @ 31 weeks'

Model's own stretch marks, veins and weird freckly things.
Bathers possibly borrowed from a nursing home somewhere.

The sight of myself in bathers makes me laugh.

The feeling of weightlessness and the facade of 'working out' when I'm at aqua aerobics
with my new posse of pregnant, injured or elderly friends is worth it.

I'm confident there's no future for me in synchronised swimming - but it would wreak havoc with my hair anyway.

Shar + 1 :-)

Apologies if this image offends.
However I suggest you stay away from European beaches, in that case.

And to the woman who approached me to tell me that she just wants to put a band-aid over my belly button - maybe you could find another use for it hey?! :-)

You're so funny Shar. And I think you look absolutely gorgeous! What a sweet bump you have there, so neat and round. My goodness, at your stage I have looked like a total heffer, with both pregnancies. You're doing well Mama, home stretch xo

You look gorgeous and happy. I had to do a double take, seeing the picture and the words 'week 43' above it!

You look beautiful Shar. And happy.

I never felt beautiful when I was pregnant- but I think pregnant women are very beautiful. I think its the miracle of life that they are growing, it fills me with hope, and wonder, and gob smacks me every single time. I know the whole biological process involved, but still amazes me - two cells from two different people, combine and go on to create a human being. That is so friggin huge I just can not get my head wrapped around it.

Gees, put a bandaid on it, it's beautiful! Silly cow. It astounds me that when you are pregnant people feel you are public property. No you can't rub my belly and when strangers ask do I know what I'm having, I said "a baby"

You look totally gorgeous Shar. I am going to miss popping in to see your selfies and your growing tummy. I hope that you will continue to do them. I did water aerobics during pregnancy too. xx
