Today was my beautiful big boy's first day of school.
He's very ready.
Whether I am or not is irrelevant because the boy is ready.
So ready that we were fed, dressed and watching the clock a good two hours before we needed to leave home!!
I was all nostalgic and emotional seeing my little man walk into his first day with his head held high and a smile on his face.
But even more so, I was proud.
I'm just chuffed with the person that he is and loved that I could feel so confident
leaving him there with his teachers and a couple of brand new buddies.
Today was also my first day back at school - and away from Missi.
My maternity leave has left the building and I am teaching one day a week this year.
I have the luxury of a part time position that allows me to drop Magoo to school,
head to my day of school on the other campus and race back just in time to pick him up again.
Today was a nice gentle induction into the baby girl separation thing
for me though, as Hubby stayed home to be with her.
In fact, Daddy was the only true casualty of this intense day
as he is absolutely exhausted from playing 'Mr Mum' for a day!!
So, the day that I have feared sinced we rang in this new year has been and gone.
And I have survived.
And then some.

You've just answered my questions - sorry! Look how ready he is, bet he had the best day. And your work arrangement is perfect at 1 day a week - how good is that!!! ENjoy the rest of the weekend. Mel xx
Ahhh, there you go, I bet that feels so much better :)
Sounds ideal all round Shar, good for Daddy to get a taste of the stay at home gig too.
I just love those photos, Magoo is too adorable and looks like he's bowling you over in the pic of you both, beautiful! xo
